Cornwall traffic and travel updates for Monday, April 4 – live updates

Good morning on Monday, April 4. It’s back to work and back to school after a pleasant but cold weekend in our county. There are a flurry of roadworks dotted around Cornwall which could again slow traffic down.

A warning is in place for later this month too with all road users asked to watch out as they approach the Chiverton Cross rounadabout on the A30. From April 11 to April 17, the A3075 in both directions will be closed due to roadworks during the night between Chiverton Cross roundabout and the B3284 (Pendown Cross, Coldharbour). The road work will take place between 7pm and 6am Mondays to Sundays Diversion will be in place via the A30 and B3284.

Meanwhile there are also temporary traffic lights due to roadworks on the A388 near Kensey Valley Meadow in Launceston which will remain in place until April 22. There are also temporary traffic lights due to roadworks on the A389 Dunmere Road at Beacon Technology Park wuntil 5pm on April 29.

New traffic lights have been installed on the A39 Market Place near Chapel Street in Camelford. Installed earlier this year to control traffic where the road is too narrow they will remain in place until April 28. There are also temporary traffic lights in Goonhavern due to electricity work on A3075 Perranwell Road at Reen Cross Road. It will stay there until April 8.

There might alos be delays in St Austell due to roadworks on the B3274 Bodmin Road around Trenance Road. It will be inplace until July 1. Temporary traffic lights due to water main work on B3301 Carnsew Road near Foundry Lane in Hayle. It wil stay in place until April 6 and finally there are temporary traffic lights due to electricity work on Alverton Road at Kings Road in Penzance. It will be in place until April 12.
