Tourism Eire prepares to activate Green Button campaign ‘Down Under’
Tourism Eire is obtaining prepared to roll out its Environmentally friendly Button campaign in Australia from late August. Now that Australia has lifted all of its remaining Covid-19 vacation limitations and its borders have re-opened, the time is right for Tourism Ireland to restart tourism from Australia to the island of Eire.
Tourism Ireland senior professionals not long ago undertook a week-lengthy programme of engagements with important vacation trade, media and airline contacts in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.
Siobhan McManamy, Tourism Ireland’s Acting Chief Executive, reported: “Before COVID-19, in 2019, we welcomed 252,000 Australian and New Zealand website visitors, whose visits shipped €245 million for the economy. Because the spring of 2020, Tourism Eire has been doing the job challenging to continue to keep the lights on for the island of Eire in Australia and New Zealand, trying to keep individuals encouraged about potential vacation and sharing news about the good experiences that await Australian and New Zealand travellers.
“We know that there is now pent-up demand from customers for travel. Our message is that the island of Eire is open up for small business again and we can’t hold out to roll out the eco-friendly carpet and welcome back site visitors from Australia and New Zealand.”
Australia is the remaining launch-pad for Tourism Ireland’s worldwide campaign, which kicked off in autumn 2021. The campaign is rolling out this yr in all of Ireland’s other key tourism marketplaces – which include Terrific Britain, the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, the Nordic nations around the world, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.
